Sherwood has added "The Only Song" to their MySpace page. So if you love the song, add it to your profile and spread the word about the free download of the Sherwood EP that starts here at AP.net soon (next Monday is the projected date if all the songs are back from the producer). Don't forget that you can also stream the song on the band's AP.net profile as well. The song has been streamed over 20,000 times on the AP profile already.
Last night at their show in Hollywood, CA, Sherwood played for labels such as Interscope Records, Hollywood Records, and Capitol Records as well as tons of other industry folk. Hollywood Records looks to be in the driver's seat right now, we'll keep you posted.
The bidding war for Sherwood continues. The band is selling out the first leg of shows on their current tour with Waking Ashland and continues to get heavy interest from multiple major labels as well as bigger indie labels.
I am pleased to announce that Sherwood will be in-studio guests on my college radio show on Rainy Dawg Radio Tuesday, Jan. 17th (today) from 9-11 P.M. (Pacific Time). You can listen to the show live by visiting www.rainydawg.org and clicking on listen to stream the broadcast live.
It was just confirmed that Scott Francis, the President of BMG Publishing, is going to direct Sherwood's first video. Scott, the guy who signed artists like Maroon 5, is really into Sherwood and this is probably the biggest things to ever happen to them as a band. They drive to LA to meet with him this week to hang out and discuss the treatment.
