I think the culture we're in right now, it's never been easier to be discouraged. It's never been easier to be made fun of or to be hurt by what people think. I'm talking bands or even just regular people. There's almost like this license to bash everybody and to say the meanest, most intense stuff online. You're behind your keyboard and you feel like you can say anything you want. I think people don't realize that maybe it affects people. We definitely went through that on this album. Simple Plan have announced that their new album will be titled Taking One For The Team, and will be released on February 19th. They have also released the first set of dates for a new world tour, which can be found here.
We have been working on these new songs for almost 2 years now and we cannot wait to share them with you. We all feel like this is our best album yet and there's nothing better than knowing that, in a few months, you will be able to hear the final result.
Our interview with Simple Plan can be read here. The band's new album will be released this fall.
For us, it's exciting, because we've got to keep growing and we have to adapt and try new things. It's a weird thing as a band, especially as you have more longevity, it's almost like you can't win because you don't have the excitement of being the brand new band. So people are like, "Okay, what have you got now? It's your fifth record."
Head on over to Alter The Press to check out a recent interview they did with Chuck Comeau of Simple Plan. They discuss the band's new book, take a nostalgic look back to the story of the band's origins and much more.
