Andrew McMahon's new project will go by Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.
Iíve always thought of music as a mirror to the adventure of living. Over the last 14 years I have lived many lives and had the opportunity to play stages around the world in various incarnations. At times Iíve performed simply as Andrew McMahon but mostly as Jackís Mannequin and Something Corporate. As I embark on yet another musical adventure, I will be traveling with my band to many of those same stages, this time as ďAndrew McMahon in the WildernessĒ. I suppose my wilderness is mostly an abstract one. Since putting Jackís behind me, I have forced myself into strange spaces seeking new stimulus. New lights on...

The Hollywood Reporter has an article on Andrew McMahon (Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate) where he discusses his upcoming album and his work with the cancelled TV series, Smash, and his subsequent Emmy nomination.
"I won't lie, it's not a fear-based pressure, because I'm really excited and I'm really content in the work that I'm doing right now," he continues. "But there is a sense for me right now that I have to make this next thing my calling card. It's going to be my first full-length under my name, and I want it to be my best record. I'm pretty hell-bent on it being so."

Andrew McMahon has posted a blog update on the release of his new album.
It is not lost on me that tonight is exceptional. Exceptional for many reasons. Exceptional because I am at peace. Exceptional because on evenings such as this, in other lives, I was a mess. I have spent many nights in terminals like this one; waiting on a trains or planes, dreaming of final destinations. Tonight is different though. A broad leather chair with wooden arms, one of many in LAís union station, holds me close as I type these words. I am eager for the tracks and my wife on the other side, but I am glad to be here for now, if only for a moment.

Andrew McMahon wrote an entry for Huffington Post on his new found 30-somethings.
From the BlogBy the title of this piece you might assume it is a cynical rant about the dissolution of the modern music business and my place in it. Fear not, it is anything but. I am living proof that even in its state of disrepair, the ability for a unique voice to be heard in this business still exists. If you are reading this you probably fall in one of three categories: a fan who followed a link from one of my web portals; a curious onlooker who vaguely recognizes the name on the byline, but is not quite sure why; or you are scratching your head altogether as to who I am and why the Huffington Post...
