Read an article on Somos called "As emo revives, Somos revamps" on The Boston Globe.
“I think we were just lucky with the timing,” Haggerty explained of their being lumped into the emo resurgence. “Right around the time we started the band that all happened. We’re not haters of the emo revival, it means there are a lot more kids coming to shows. But I think we’re more of a crossover band, I don’t think we’re a typical emo band. We take pride in having a pop punk-emo-indie crossover. I like the idea of moving forward and creating something new. I like to think that’s where we’re at.”

Somos will be releasing one of our favorite punk rock records of the year on March 25th. Today, we are premiering a new track titled "Distorted Vision," which is off the stellar album Temple of Plenty. If you've been missing the vibes from bands like Name Taken and Armor For Sleep, then this jam will be right up your alley. Check it out in the replies and then pre-order it from Tiny Engines.

Boston-based Somos is streaming "Domestic" from their debut LP, Temple of Plenty, at The AV Club. The band plays a sort of emo-tinged powerpop, but the musicianship has a punk backbone and it's catchy as all hell. Their first single, "Dead Wrong," reminded some users of Name Taken. So listen to that song if that sounds like something you'd enjoy, and if you like it you can preorder Temple of Plenty from Tiny Engines.
