MTV has a new series called $5 Cover, highlighting the Memphis music scene. It's a musical drama directed by Craig Brewer of Hustle & Flow, and they are releasing a soundtrack that includes Lucero, whose singer Ben Nichols is one of the main characters in the show. It's released digitally tomorrow.
A set of tunes that didn't make the cut for the Juno sountrack will be released on iTunes on April 8th. Entitled Juno B-Sides: Almost Adopted Songs, the collection also features a tune sung by Ellen Page herself.

The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film soundtrack will be hitting stores on April 10th and will feature new songs from Mastodon, Killer Mike and Unearth and also songs from The Hold Steady, Schooly D, Nine Pound Hammer and more. The movie comes out on April 13th.

Writer and director John Cameron Mitchell, known previously for Hedwig and the Angry Inch, has a new film out entitled Shortbus. The film came out October 4th in limited release, but, for some reason, the soundtrack comes out November 7th on Team Love Records.

Sofia Coppola will be releasing her new film, Marie Antoinette, on October 20th. For those of who teethed your musical identity on the Garden State soundtrack, hit puberty with this one. If you take a look at the tracklist, you'll notice a remix of "Fools Rush In" by Kevin Shields of legendary My Bloody Valentine, who also donated music to the last Coppola flick, Lost In Translation.

Motion City Soundtrack will be playing what possibly could be their last club show of the year on September 4th at the Temple Club in Lansing, MI. The Hard Lessons, June and Sherwood will be opening. On a side note, The Hard Lessons will be supporting the band on their upcoming European headlining tour along with OK Go.
