Whoops, it's Sunday. Ever have those moments when you're like, "I know it's definitely a specific day of the week in which I do a specific thing, but I'm not sure what day it is or what the thing I always do is."? Ever have those moments? You do! That's great. (Well, it's not great, but whatever). We are totally bonding over our somewhat sad and very premature memory problem. We can start a support group. Friend me on Friendster.
The other night I saw a blind guy get helped up by a crowd to crowd-surf and then helped back down. He was going hard in the pit the whole time. It was a beautiful thing to witness. My jazz history professor in college once told me to think of music without the visuals. Keep your eyes closed most of the week while listening - well, unless you're driving.
Hi, and welcome to the part of your day/night where you look below and see me talking about Japandroids. And then look below and see other people hopefully talking about Japandroids. Or, maybe someone's talking about how the season premiere of Workaholics was just sort of ok, other than the line about ice being the currency of the future. So many possibilities! And apparently all of them are somehow connected to me!
I don't want to point fingers as to who hasn't done a great job recommending things lately. It could be any one of us. And you know what they say about pointing fingers: point a finger at a scary person you don't know and they will either expose themselves to you or just rip that stupid-finger-get-it-out-of-my-face-now. Either way, let's not do it. Let's just talk like family (which is to say shout and cry a lot).
Hi, once again welcome to the time of the week where we tell you what to do and you listen because what else do you have to do? As our moms say, "You're so important! Stop stealing my lipstick! What do you even do with the lipstick!?" So basically, what I'm saying is, what you are about to read is essentially gospel. Let us pray.
If you're anything like me, and if you are, lucky you, it's been one of those weeks where things seem to happen at you. Kind of like we're in a firing squad and all the bullies have tied us to a lightpost and the tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs are just coming full speed ahead no matter what. Because that was such a happy, and most importantly, smart analogy, I'll end on a high note and just get to the recommendations
There's not a lot to say, other than spring is most definitely here. Which, yeah, is the most boring thing someone can say. Let's talk about the weather! Interesting! Maybe in the replies we just try and keep it real and discuss all the interesting things that have happened this past week. Whatever.
It's the beginning of April and to me, that only means one thing - baseball. $10 beers, hot dogs, popcorn, and pretzels are prepped as we watch our beloved teams play their rigorous 162 game schedule to win the coveted World Series. My team of choice, the New York Yankees (hate on me all you want, I am a lifelong fan), are already 0-2. With that said, the onset of spring brings on warmer weather and a new year season of excellent music on the horizon. What has been on rotation for you so far this spring?
Looks like I'm the first up and here to post Sunday Recommendations. Is everyone else enjoying the great weather or something? Probably getting ready for the NCAA games today. Or just hanging out getting ready for the return of Mad Men? Either way, I'm here and am ready to get the thread started. Coffee in hand, watching basketball on the side screen, and a bunch of things to recommend!
It's a rainy, slow Sunday on my end, but Spring should be rolling in soon. Let's see what everyone's been listening to this week. Do you have any good recommendations for us?
So it's Sunday, late Sunday -- and I haven't gotten the Sunday recs up (yet). That's what happens when you eat too much and get distracted watching cartoons on Netflix. Yes, that's exactly what I was doing. Judge me all you want - it was awesome. Here's what that staff recommend this week; add yours below.
Hey Sunday fans; it's time for the weekly recommendations. This week we had Steve from New Found Glory join us with his picks as well. So check all of those out below, and then leave what you've been enjoying in the replies. Hope everyone's had a great weekend. Don't forget that on Valentines Day we'll be having out annual chat with TWLOHA. It's always one of the best chats we do each year.
The weekend sure seems to be going by quickly. Hopefully we can make your Sunday a little more awesome with the staff recommendations. Check those all out below, and feel free to let us know what you've been listening to in the replies. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Watching the Super Bowl today? There's a great thread in the forums to talk about that.
Helllooooo, Sunday. Today we've got an extra special addition to our Sunday Recommendations as we've asked Zach Lind (drummer for Jimmy Eat World) to join us and add in his recommendations for the week. So, check those out below with all of the other staff and then hit up the replies and let us know what you are currently spinning. It's a great time to discover new music.
What a helluva week, eh? That's my best Eda-canadian-impersonation. It's Sunday morning, I've got my coffee in hand, and it's time to put together the staff recommendations for this week. Check out what the staff are listening to, and then hit up the replies and let us know what you are currently spinning. It's a great time to discover new music.
