Turnover's new album, the stunning Peripheral Vision, is out today via Run For Cover Records. The label is selling the album digitally for only $5 on Bandcamp. I've been entranced by this record all morning; I recommend taking a listen to the stream and then buying it 39 minutes and 11 seconds later.

Florida’s Northbound started out as a solo project from frontman Jonothan Fraser, but has evolved over the last three years into a sometimes-acoustic / sometimes-full-band act, similar to Evan Weiss’ early experiences with Into It. Over It. While Northbound takes on a more pop-punk vibe, "Slug," which you can stream exclusively in the replies, will also resonate with fans of many of the grunge-leaning acts gaining popularity today; a comparison to Citizen also comes to mind. “Slug” is taken from the re-worked LP Death Of A Slug, which Animal Style Records will release this summer. I've long held that Red City Radio is one of the most underrated punk bands on this website. The Oklahoma City quartet impressed with its first two full-lengths, The Dangers of Standing Still and Titles, playing the type of punk rock with gruff vocals that generally calls for PBR + whiskey shot specials. But their newest offering, a self-titled LP and debut via new label Staple Records, is ready to flip the script a bit. The album, which you can stream in the replies, sees Red City Radio exploring new territory in the form of songs that are a bit slower, a bit less reliant on the forbidden beat, and playing more into the strengths of main vocalist Garrett Dale's deep drawl. The punk...

As I recently exclusively revealed on this here web portal, all facts and evidence point to the conclusion that Philadelphia rock band The Weaks is The Greatest Rock Band On Earth™. In the replies, we're streaming a song by The Weaks, which is called "Still Courting." It's one of the songs that sounds like a mix between grungy Nirvana stuff and poppy Weezer stuff underlined by inherent emo-ism; there are many such songs on the band's new full-length, Bad Year, which drops on April 7 via Lame-O Records and can be pre-ordered now (physical / digital). So, if you think you would enjoy The Greatest Rock Band On Earth™, feel free to check them out in the replies.

Today we invite you to meet Long Knives, a four-piece emo act from the Bay Area of California. When I say this is a new band, I really mean that in every way -- in the replies we're streaming the first single from their debut EP. The EP, titled This is Your Life, is set to drop via Count Your Lucky Stars on April 7. The track in the replies, "Bones," identifies what this group is good at pretty quickly: They play simple, catchy, melodic indie-punk with more than enough emo tinge to go around, characterized strongly by trade-offs between vocalists Matt Bartels and Kris Moya. The male/female call-and-return vocals make This is Your Life addicting from first listen. If you like "Bones,"...
