As I recently exclusively revealed on this here web portal, all facts and evidence point to the conclusion that Philadelphia rock band The Weaks is The Greatest Rock Band On Earth™. In the replies, we're streaming a song by The Weaks, which is called "Still Courting." It's one of the songs that sounds like a mix between grungy Nirvana stuff and poppy Weezer stuff underlined by inherent emo-ism; there are many such songs on the band's new full-length, Bad Year, which drops on April 7 via Lame-O Records and can be pre-ordered now (physical / digital). So, if you think you would enjoy The Greatest Rock Band On Earth™, feel free to check them out in the replies.

Today we invite you to meet Long Knives, a four-piece emo act from the Bay Area of California. When I say this is a new band, I really mean that in every way -- in the replies we're streaming the first single from their debut EP. The EP, titled This is Your Life, is set to drop via Count Your Lucky Stars on April 7. The track in the replies, "Bones," identifies what this group is good at pretty quickly: They play simple, catchy, melodic indie-punk with more than enough emo tinge to go around, characterized strongly by trade-offs between vocalists Matt Bartels and Kris Moya. The male/female call-and-return vocals make This is Your Life addicting from first listen. If you like "Bones,"...

The publicist who pitched me on this premiere started his email by asking me if I got a follow from Melissa Joan Hart on Twitter. I did! She sure followed lots of people. Being reminded of one of my most recent followers put me in a great mood, but I wasn't necessarily expecting to be as gripped as I was by Take One Car's "In The Wind." The band, which is from Upstate New York and which has independently released two full-length albums, is teaming up with Broken World Media for the release of their third effort, Everyone You Know Is Here Right Now, on March 31. You can stream "In The Wind" in the replies, where you'll also find the album art and tracklisting, and you should listen to it...

Yesterday, we posted about Hopeless Records signing Dryjacket, a group that's probably #1 on my list of bands that people should be watching out for in 2015. The other band that's at the top of that list is Microwave, which I only heard for the first time a couple weeks ago -- their debut LP Stovall is being released by Antique Records. To support the release, the band has dropped a music video for the title track from that album, which you can stream in the replies. They remind me of a slightly unpolished version of what All Get Out was when they released The Season, so if that sounds tasty to you, check out the song in the replies as well as their other single, "Trash Stains," which is...

Most of the coverage that has surrounded Heartless Breakers so far on the site has been centered around the fact that it's the new project of former Daytrader member Matt Mascarenas. But while we're premiering their new song "Carbon Copy" today, I'd rather point out that they take cues from early-era Taking Back Sunday while mixing in elements of post-hardcore -- ultimately, it's something completely separate from Daytrader in my mind, and in a good way. The band's debut full-length, The Great Give Back, comes out on March 10th, and if you like "Carbon Copy" in the replies, you can pre-order the album via Animal Style Records.

A music video for their song "Jefferson's Shadow" is in the replies, and their EP Lights, Locks, & Faucets is available for pre-order here (comes out April 14). Recommended if you like You Blew It!, Into It. Over It., other bands with not-super-necessary punctuation in their names, plus a bit of Copeland's pop sensibility. Listen.
