Las Vegas' Avalon Landing have created a studio blog. The band is currently working on their debut album with producer Bryan Russell (Straylight Run, Envy on the Coast, Coldplay, Paul Simon, Steely Dan). The album is due later this year.

Looks like Mark, Tom and Travis really are in the same room together recording new Blink-182 tunes.

Producer Matt Malpass has opened a B room at his studio in which his brother, who was the engineer/assistant engineer on several projects (Rookie of the Year, Lydia, Decoder), will begin producing records on his own at extremely low rates. As far as Andy goes, he really just wants to focus on the Animal Upstairs and being the captain of his own ship. We support him, and I’ll always be his biggest fan. He’s a great artist, he’s a great friend. Our friendship [has] actually only gotten stronger recently through the phone calls and conversations of getting to this point. For us, it was important that it didn’t come off like there was any drama. Sorry to say, but it’s not a big, sexy story.
