 | | | | | | | | | | | | It's that time of the year again - SXSW is here! The interactive and film portions are already either underway or finished, but the part that interests all of us (music) is just about to start. As usual, AP.net staff members will be down in Austin covering a variety of parties, showcases, BBQs and everything else in between. I'll be down there once again (for my 7th year in a row!), along with Adam and Eda, to cover all of our activities. We'll be updating the @apnetatshow twitter account fairly often with some of the shows we see, so make sure to follow that. If you want even more updates, you can follow us on our individual twitter accounts: @paultao, @alueda and @p_is_silent.

 | | | | | | | | | | | | Drum roll please ... the time has come to announce our SXSW party line-up. This is something we've been working on for a long time, and we are extremely excited to be throwing our first ever SXSW party. We did our best to put together a line-up that we love and one that showcases a wide range of the bands and genres we cover on the website. Our party is taking place on Friday (March 16th) night (technically Saturday morning) at the Purevolume House. Our event starts at midnight, and goes until 4am. We've got great bands, our very own Paul Tao and Lueda Alia (along with AP.net member Billions & Billions) will be DJing between the sets, and there's an open bar. ... | | | Jason Tate on 02/28/12 - 08:34 AM | 215 Replies - | | | | |
 | | | | | | | | | | | | Due to a technical difficulty with the RSVP page, it looks like we've got to push back our announcement of the line-up for our SXSW party until tomorrow. We don't want to announce all the goodies without making sure there's a way you can go to the show. So, with that - we're pushing it back until tomorrow morning when I wake up. However ... I don't wanna leave you completely blue-balled. So, I will say that our lovely staff members Paul Tao and Lueda Alia will be joined by AP.net member Billions and Billions and guest-DJ'ing in between the sets. I guess I wonder if it'll kill you or me to tell you the rest? Hmmm ... I'll just drop hints instead. | | | Jason Tate on 02/27/12 - 02:23 PM | 65 Replies - | | | | |
 | | | | | | | | | | | | Looks like John Mayer's voice is all better. He'll be performing at this year's SXSW festival as well as doing a residency theater tour in March. His new album Born & Raised should be released in the coming months.

 | | | | | | | | | | | | This year's SXSW was quite an experience for me. Through that experience, I had some of the best conversations with bands, managers, label owners and fans alike about where things are heading. Head here to read my thoughts on the whole week and where I see the music scene shifting in the next few years. In the words of Chris Conley, "This is what it is." Hit the replies and let's talk about it. | | | Adam Pfleider on 03/25/11 - 10:11 AM | 35 Replies - | | | | |
