One of our users talked with Eddie Reyes of Taking Back Sunday at a recent Thursday show, who said the band's upcoming New Again will be like Tell All Your Friends but heavier. Read the full report below.
Fan ReportAt the Thursday show in Cleveland today, I talked to Eddie Reyes, guitarist of Taking Back Sunday. He confirmed that the album is "completely done." It's written, recorded, mixed and finished. He expects it to drop in May. (Not sure if that's news or that it was already on the release calendar.)

Reyes also told me that the new record will be "like 'Tell All Your Friends' but heavier." Yes, I'm dead serious, that was a word for word quote. He claimed it will be much...

Adam Lazzara and Matt Fazzi from Taking Back Sunday did an interview with Rolling Stone and talked about three songs from their upcoming New Again and much more. "Carpathia" has three-part harmonies and a bass solo that is the meanest-sounding thing they've ever done; "Catholic Knees" is "one of the heaviest [they've] ever written]"; "Lonely Lonely" is the "most relentless."

We're still writing away and starting to figure out all the more advanced details of the forth (and 4th) coming Taking Back Sunday album. Details like who will produce it? Where will we record it? Just who exactly is playing the guitar? Am I wearing pants?

Message from Mikey Way Hello to our dear fans

We are pleased to announce a show at NYCs one and only, Madison Square Garden. I know that its not a special small club show like the others on the tour coming up through the US. MSG holds a special place in our hearts. About 12 years back, my big brother took me to see The Smashing Pumpkins at that very venue. I turned to him and said "this is what I want to be...this is what we have to do...one day we are going to be on...

Fred Mascherino (The Color Fred) clarifies some things about his recent departure from Taking Back Sunday in an interview here.
Excerpt"The idea that I left Taking Back Sunday strictly to do The Color Fred is incorrect," Mascherino clarified. "I had been planning to release this record at this time. It was already set up. I was going to release it and do a tour, which I'm on now, and then go back and write the next record with them and record it. But along the line of a few months before and then on the Projekt Revolution tour, things were getting sour. I said, 'I don't want to do this anymore.' It was making me miserable. I felt like I was changing who I was."
