Adam Lazzara and Matt Fazzi from Taking Back Sunday did an interview with Rolling Stone and talked about three songs from their upcoming New Again and much more. "Carpathia" has three-part harmonies and a bass solo that is the meanest-sounding thing they've ever done; "Catholic Knees" is "one of the heaviest [they've] ever written]"; "Lonely Lonely" is the "most relentless."

Message from the Band Hello Human Beings and various other life forms.

The current new song count is up to 12. Can you frickin believe it??? We're still writing away and starting to figure out all the more advanced details of the forth (and 4th) coming Taking Back Sunday album. Details like who will produce it? Where will we record it? Just who exactly is playing the guitar? Am I wearing pants?

--- right. now that I have your attention (and by no means as a way to bring you down) I would like to talk about something that is very important to me.
I recently became more aware of the situation in Darfur. While this has been covered...

My Chemical Romance will be playing a special show at Madison Square Garden with guests Taking Back Sunday and Drive By. The show is scheduled for May 9th, and will conclude their upcoming headlining tour.
Message from Mikey Way Hello to our dear fans

We are pleased to announce a show at NYCs one and only, Madison Square Garden. I know that its not a special small club show like the others on the tour coming up through the US. MSG holds a special place in our hearts. About 12 years back, my big brother took me to see The Smashing Pumpkins at that very venue. I turned to him and said "this is what I want to be...this is what we have to do...one day we are going to be on...

Fred Mascherino (The Color Fred) clarifies some things about his recent departure from Taking Back Sunday in an interview here.
Excerpt"The idea that I left Taking Back Sunday strictly to do The Color Fred is incorrect," Mascherino clarified. "I had been planning to release this record at this time. It was already set up. I was going to release it and do a tour, which I'm on now, and then go back and write the next record with them and record it. But along the line of a few months before and then on the Projekt Revolution tour, things were getting sour. I said, 'I don't want to do this anymore.' It was making me miserable. I felt like I was changing who I was."

Taking Back Sunday have begun to rehearse new songs. A particularly flattering update from Matt is below:
UpdateMay I have your attention please, you can have it back after you read this.

We here at Taking Back Sunday just thought you might like to know what we've been up to.

As is turns out...making new music. We have come from our separate corners of the country to write and rehearse in a top secret location in NYC. We are sitting on a half dozen hot, fresh new songs. Im sorry, you may not hear them yet. This is just the beginning as, well, things still need to get in their right place. We are excited about what we are working on and most importantly we are having fun.
