That's Outrageous recently began asking for donations in an IndieGoGo project to fund their second record. Many questioned the $7,500 goal the band was trying to reach, so the group has outlined that budget in a blog here. The budget includes $2,500 for CDs, $1,000 for travel, $1,500 for start-up merch costs, $500 for mastering the album and $1,500+ for studio time.

Former That's Outrageous vocalist Tom Degrazia has rejoined the band.
StatementIím pretty positive a ton of people will be questioning why Iím back in Thatís Outrageous! Iím going to spare the usual boring blog and get right to it. Last year a band that was my brain child was taken from me. A few of the current members were manipulated by a few of the past members and one thing led to another and I was kicked out.

For those of you who donít know, T.O! was an idea I hadÖand to launch that idea I needed a few other people. We made two demos and got contacted by 5 different record labels within the month they were out. We signed to Rise within two months and hadnít even...

That's Outrageous has been dropped from Rise Records but is still going to be a band. The group has started an IndieGoGo page for people to donate toward their second full-length record, and there is a new song streaming in the replies.
From the Project PageNormally, recording a full length costs anywhere from 15-25,000 dollars and that's just for the recording itself. There's also travel, food, mastering, getting CDs made, marketing and promotion money, strings, deodorant (we smell terrible), drum heads, sticks, and much more. After much thought and many cut corners we figured we would need around $7,500 to make this happen on our own.
Thomas Nassiff on 05/13/12 - 08:37 PM
