The Dangerous Summer are doing a cool little idea for anyone who buys something from the band's online store this weekend. The band will personally create a mix CD of music that means something to them. More details in the replies.
I recently spoke with The Dangerous Summer and can report the band is not broken up. The band has been confirmed for Groezrock in Belgium in April 2012 and will be announcing new tour dates shortly. In addition, you can grab the entire discography, which includes War Paint, Reach For The Sun, and If You Could Only Keep Me Alive, for only $15 here.
EDIT: The chat is now over. Thanks to the guys for hanging out.
The Dangerous Summer will be chatting in this thread at 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m. EST. Head inside to talk to them about their latest full-length, War Paint, which dropped this week, how they're battling the sun on this year's Warped Tour, or basically about anything else. Don't forget to pick up a copy of War Paint from Hopeless Records here.
By now it's clear to most that The Dangerous Summer avoided the sophomore slump. The band's new album, War Paint, hits stores in two weeks and is earning almost universal praise from our community. Talk about rarefied air. Today we have the first video from the album premiering for your viewing pleasure. Like what you hear (or, errr, see)? Make sure you pre-order the album in hard copy or iTunes. Support the music you love.
Today is Cody Payne's (The Dangerous Summer) birthday. For those of you who like him, wish him a happy birthday in the replies. Everyone else keep leaving hate and fueling the fire so the man's band can keep releasing great albums.
Check out another acoustic session with The Dangerous Summer where they perform "No One's Gonna Need You More" and one of my personal favorites from the new album, "Siren."
Today we've got a special guest blog from AJ Perdomo of The Dangerous Summer. The blog is an open letter to fans about music and purchasing music in general. You can check it out below.
The Dangerous Summer's new single "Work in Progress" is now available on iTunes. If you missed it, we premiered it right here yesterday and it's had almost 20k streams since. The new album comes out in little over a month.
Today we're proud to bring you the first single from The Dangerous Summer. War Paint hits stores July 19th, but we've got "Work in Progress" for you to hear now; because, really, who wants to wait?! Check it out below and let us know what you think. I think it's rare when bands live up to expectations, even rarer they surpass them ... this is one of those times.
