By now, I'm sure we all know that The Starting Line has a new album, Direction, coming out soon. However, we're going to go back in time and have some fun with another album. It's time to put yourself in the role of a record company executive here, because it's your turn to decide what should have been.
Based on a True Story was the highly-anticipated follow-up to the well-received Say It Like You Mean It. Though it was reviewed well and garnered an unprecedented amount of hype for its first single, "Bedroom Talk," almost nothing happened with the album since.

Kenny Vasoli of The Starting Line contributed some vocals on the The Junior Varsity's new album, Cinematographic; look for his contribution on the track entitled "Wunderdrug."
The Starting Line are currently putting on the finishing touches to their new album and are working on planning a fall tour. The whole update from the band is below:
The Starting Line will be playing a free show for UCF students, $10 for everyone else, on March 29th at UCF Arena. Doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00; My Getaway will be opening.

This spring The Starting Line want to visit your school and rock like it was 1999 (even if it IS 2007). Does your school have a concert or festival in the works for April or early May? If so, The Starting Line is available and interested in turning your party out! The Starting Line will be spending January in a Hollywood studio recording the follow-up to Based On A True Story with Howard Benson (Head Automatica, All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, Saosin, Relient K). FYI, the band is heading in with 15+ demos.
