To Write Love on Her Arms will host Heavy and Light on January 9, 2010 at the House of Blues Orlando. The show will feature acoustic performances by Mat Kearney, Aaron Gillespie (Underoath/The Almost), Bryce Avary (The Rocket Summer), Stephen Christian (Anberlin), Aaron Marsh (Copeland), Zach Williams and Damion Suomi.
The Almost are giving away prize packs that include The Monster EP + Monster Monster, an autographed poster, and an Almost t-shirt. To enter, carve up your pumpkin Monster Monster style and send in photos of your creation by November 6th. All details about the contest as well as some templates to get you started can be found right here.
Edit: The chat is now over. Thanks to the band for taking the time out to chat with all of us. Dusty might be stopping back in, so feel free to leave some questions in the replies still.
Aaron, Dusty, Alex, Joe, and Jay of The Almost will be chatting in this thread at approximately 8PM ET. Stop in to ask about their upcoming release, Monster Monster, their new song on myspace, or just to say hi.
The Almost will be heading out on one last tour this year in June before Aaron devotes his full attention to Underoath again to promote the release of their new album late this summer. The Almost will be bringing out Emery, Envy on the Coast, and Army of Me; details are forthcoming. This will be the last chance to see The Almost before the band hits the studio this winter to start on the new Almost record.
The Almost recently stopped by the AOL studios for an interview and a live, acoustic performance, both of which are available for your viewing pleasure here. The group will be supporting their debut, full-length release, Southern Weather, on tour this fall, which is available now via Virgin Records.
