The Story So Far and The Movielife are the first two bands announced for Spring Fling 3, an annual festival that takes place in Cleveland, OH. This year it will take place on May 15 at the Agora Theatre and Ballroom, and tickets are available here.
Our plan is to start at Irving Plaza and go from there. There are pieces of land on this planet that we want to bring our gear onto and play on. I don’t think the UK would allow us to reunite and not come visit them. I think the hatred and frustration would implode the whole country, so we’re definitely going to come over there, I think. I mean, I’d like to. Brandon and I are the two biggest Anglophiles in the band, so the two of us definitely want to visit.

After years of fronting popular indie punk act I Am The Avalanche and formerly hardcore punk band The Movielife, accomplished New York songwriter Vinnie Caruana is announcing plans to release his debut solo EP out early 2013 on I Surrender / Run For Cover Records. Between writing the new album for his full-time project I Am The Avalanche, Caruana has recently entered the studio with RX Bandits member Steve Choi at Bright Mountain studios in California where he'll remain until October 27th.
Miss The Movielife's final show tonight? Me too. Sounds like it is a great one too. Brand New's opening (adding to my jealousy of those there). Here's to one of my favorite bands growing up ... I'm breaking out the old tunes for you.
Vinnie Caruana played a new I Am The Avalanche song at the recent Barbary show in Philadelphia. He said it "may be" on the new record before playing the song, then said that the new album is too up tempo for this song. Head to the replies to see a video. Vinnie also asked the crowd if anyone would be seeing their The Movielife show next month in May and that there "may be" more shows after that. Kenny Vasoli also played a new The Starting Line song and Brandon Reilly played a new Nightmare of You song.
In a new interview, Vinnie Caruana confirms that I Am The Avalanche are working with "50 songs" and are aiming at a summer/fall release. He also comments on Brandon Reilly's willingness to reunite The Movielife for Bamboozle and solo shows.
