This time, Jono hits up Seth MacFarlane's new feature film, Ted, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. Can Jono be charmed by a talking teddy bear full of ribald humor, or did he frown the entire time? Head to the replies to read his hilarious insight.

The Swellers are recording a new EP.
From the InterviewAs far as our sound with the new EP, I’m sure a million bands say, “This is our most mature record to date.” Everybody says that and then they’ll go on to say, “Yeah, everybody says it’s their most mature record to date, but…” and it’s like, “Okay, man.” I’ll be the first to tell you: this is not our most mature record to date. It’s five songs that we wrote in our basement and it’s, like, the first time in a long time that we’ve been free and able to do what we want to do. We’re not thinking about it too hard, and we’re doing it exactly the way we would have 10 years ago when we started the band. [These songs] come from such a...

The Early November recently took off on a new tour with The Wonder Years, The Swellers and Young Statues. A couple days ago, the vocalists of each of these groups - Ace Enders from TEN, Dan Campbell from TWY, Nick Diener from The Swellers, and Carmen Cirignano from Young Statues - took the time to record an acoustic cover of Semisonic's "Closing Time," which you can now watch in the replies. It's a fun cover, with all four vocalists singing to round out the song. A regular barbershop quartet, these guys. The tour continues on until June 9, and you can also see the remaining tour dates in the replies.

The Swellers discuss leaving Fueled by Ramen and the motivations behind it.
From the InterviewDefinitely a few months ago. We all started talking about what was best for us in general. I think a big part of it too was that we kind of realized that they would understand because they have these bands that are doing so well. And then a band from a world like ours. A DIY and I guess punk band being bunched with those other bands doesn’t really make any sense for them because of the way they promote. They have a surefire way of doing promotion for those bands. But when you put a band like us in it, it doesn’t really work. So one thing led to another. The little things added up. Not...

Band StatementRecently, The Swellers decided that it was time to part ways with Fueled By Ramen. We’ve had a good run with them and have a lot of appreciation and respect for everyone at the label. While we wish the staff and their bands the best of luck, we’ve come to the conclusion that being part of a major label just isn’t the right fit for us right now. We’re ready to continue developing who we are as a...

On Monday we're premiering the new video from The Swellers ... you knew that, right? Anyway, we reached out to the band to get a little bit of information about "behind the scenes" and the making of the new video.
Behind the VideoLet's rewind to our last UK headline tour with Broadway Calls and Into It. Over It. We were sitting around in a dressing room thinking about some ideas for a music video. I sat listening to the song "Inside My Head" over and over again until we started grasping some sort of concept we could run with. I told the guys a really rough idea, they kept adding on, and we had ourselves a video idea.

We hit up our friend Mitch Wojcik who did the artwork/layout for our...

Update: April Fool's, obviously! Here's what the band had to say about the joke:
April Fool's April Fools. We want everyone to know that we are in no way serious about the previous post, and we're hoping you understood that with the massive amount of money, the really really bad perks you would get for donating, and the fact that we say we ask for things all the time. To be honest, our band rarely, if ever asks for favors from people. We pride ourselves on working hard and hoping people help us out when they realize that.

We think KickStarter is a really useful tool for helping anyone raise money, but it shouldn't be abused like it seems to be lately. When we need your help, we'll...

Yesterday I lamented that maybe re-thinking how we support the music we love wasn't such a bad idea. I heard a lot of responses throughout the day; many from bands (one of the more interesting to me was the idea of gift cards for common places a band would visit on tour). With that, Jonathan Diener from The Swellers, was so inspired by the topic and ensuing discussion - that he wrote up a guest blog in response to my post.

Guest BlogI think bands need to treat getting money from fans like they're getting money from one of their aunts. You turn the offer down a few times but eventually you realize you're bumming them out and sometimes disrespecting them if you don't take it. Obviously...

Remember that post about Nick from The Swellers working on a solo project? Yeah. We got punked. POZ reached out to the band and got a statement. Now it's time to plot our revenge.
Message from the BandSome of you may have seen everything getting posted about my brother, Nick’s new band Strange Hawks. Things seem to be getting way out of hand. Why? Because not only is the band NOT REAL, but neither is the drama! Someone found the “band” on Nick’s facebook, got it posted to Absolutepunk so we got our friends involved (fake comments/tweets) in a huge joke. That’s how the internet works, it’s hilarious.

In REAL news, we’re doing our first U.S. co-headlining tour with our friends You Me...
