Today we are streaming the track "Red Lights" from The Swellers recent 7" release Vehicle City Blues. Sure, we know the vinyl was released already, but who doesn't mind a little bit of The Swellers during their day? The Early November recently took off on a new tour with The Wonder Years, The Swellers and Young Statues. A couple days ago, the vocalists of each of these groups - Ace Enders from TEN, Dan Campbell from TWY, Nick Diener from The Swellers, and Carmen Cirignano from Young Statues - took the time to record an acoustic cover of Semisonic's "Closing Time," which you can now watch in the replies. It's a fun cover, with all four vocalists singing to round out the song. A regular barbershop quartet, these guys. The tour continues on until June 9, and you can also see the remaining tour dates in the replies.

Occasionally we stumble upon something that is frankly too awesome to not post, and today that happened. Head to the replies to watch the best wrestler in the world, CM Punk, work out whilst wearing a Swellers hoodie.
Yesterday I lamented that maybe re-thinking how we support the music we love wasn't such a bad idea. I heard a lot of responses throughout the day; many from bands (one of the more interesting to me was the idea of gift cards for common places a band would visit on tour). With that, Jonathan Diener from The Swellers, was so inspired by the topic and ensuing discussion - that he wrote up a guest blog in response to my post.
