Well, if you havent noticed, i havent played a show with the acacia strain in years and ive just been writing the music for them. Ive been informed today that they will continue on without me, meaning shows and writing albums. This is totally understandable and i wish the band the best. I'll be around, as im still recording and producing and also have another project in the works.

Rise is great. I mean, we've had them do more for us in the one year we've been signed to them than the other labels have done in the other 6 years we've been signed. They're really personable, they're literally a phone call away, as opposed to going through all these different channels just to talk to your own record label. They treat us like human beings, you know?

Vincent Bennett (The Acacia Strain), Griffin Landa (ex-Too Pure To Die) and Chris Cain (ex-Bury Your Dead) have formed a new band called Shut In. Their debut 7", Old Homes, will be released on August 21 via Dreadwind Records. Check out a track from the effort, "Exit Wounds," here.
