Alexander DeLeon has been ordered to go on vocal rest from a doctor following non-stop touring. The Cab have been forced to cancel a show with One Republic due to this. You can check out Alex's full statement after the jump.

This is definitely not an easy thing to write. Over the past year, well technically over the past six or so… we have been touring almost nonstop. In between tours I have been singing and writing for other artists giving myself almost no off time. A few days ago I went to see the country’s leading voice doctor in Boston, and he has ordered me to not sing for a bit. I just need a break. Cash Colligan and Alex Johnson, former members of The Cab, have released a new single entitled "Jesus Is Waiting" on Cash's non-profit charity website.

The Cab will premiere their music video for "Endlessly," which stars Academy Award nominee Hailee Steinfeld, on November 15th. Pictures from the video can be seen in the replies.

About the Video

"I found out she was a fan of our band, and the song' 'Endlessly,' and needless to say I flipped with excitement. I reached out to Hailee, and she came to one of our LA shows where I dedicated 'Endlessly' to her. Fast-forward and we kind of became best friends. She is one of my favorite people in the entire world, and I believe in her talent so much. I was nervous to ask her to be a part of the 'Endlessly' story and be in the video, but when she said yes, the rest was history."

The Cab are working with Matt Squire for a song on their upcoming album.

On last night's edition of The Gunz Show, Gunz spoke with Alex Deleon, lead vocalist of The Cab, in which he mentioned the band are starting to record their brand new record today. In other odd news, Alex also delivered a baby tiger while touring overseas.

The Cab's next single, "Endlessly," will be heading to Top 40/Mainstream radio on September 18th. The band began shooting its music video last week.

Our management team works with Maroon 5, and that was a big part of it. It’s been a waiting game. We’ve been waiting for them to do a tour for a year now. The puzzle fit, and we took the opportunity. We had to cancel a UK run, which is horrible, but when you get a call like that, you can’t say no. We’re going to make it to the UK again, but you can’t say no to Maroon 5. They’re on a whole different level.

The Cab has signed to Universal Republic Records.

There is so much music out there at people's fingertips that they could have easily forgotten about us and replaced us with another band, but three years later, our fans were still there. They held on. The album did just as good, if not better than our first record Whisper War. The thing about that is, this one had almost ZERO marketing. There were no flashy commercials, no crazy pop art ads in magazines. Nope. Just an album...word of mouth on social networks...and the support of our fans. Pretty incredible, right? I owe my life to them.

It appears that Simple Plan, Forever the Sickest Kids, and The Cab will be heading out on tour this fall with another band TBA.

The Cab will be working with Justin Timberlake in the future. The band's new album, Symphony Soldier, debuted on the Billboard charts this week at #62.
