The Cinema are hitting the studio to record a new record.

Head to the replies to hear a song from The Cinema and Somnous, who will be releasing a collaborative EP this year. The song is called "Somewhere, Someday."

Lydia has confirmed that they are working on a new album instead of an EP. They're trying to have it out by early next year and they'll record it with Matt Malpass. Leighton also confirmed that The Cinema have a few new songs and may be touring this fall before a Lydia fall tour.

A few months ago, we saw that you might be working on a new EP or LP for Lydia. Were you writing or recording?
Yeah we were recording a bit of it. We have probably like less than two songs that are tracked and done at this point. But as I was finishing the two songs, we were thinking about doing an EP, but I had three or four more, so there’s about five songs that are written at this point....

The Cinema's recent collaboration video for "Beautiful" with rapper Somnous can be seen in the replies.

A collaboration between The Cinema and William Pugh from Cartel is currently being mixed.

Producer Matt Malpass (Copeland, Lydia, All Get Out) has posted a solo song titled "The Medic" on soundcloud. The song was written around the time songs for The Cinema's album were being put together. The Cinema's record will be released on September 13th.
