PureVolume has a photo gallery up containing images from this year's Riot Fest in Brooklyn. The gallery contains images of The Bronx, The Menzingers, and more before the tornadoes hit. The rest of Riot Fest was canceled, but that didn't stop The Descendents and Hot Water Music from playing a 'secret' show at Saint Vitus. PV got photos of that event as well.

PureVolume caught up with Milo Aukerman to talk about the upcoming Riot Fest, his favorite brand of coffee, and the state of The Descendents.

We are all writing new stuff, and there is definitely a commitment to record at some point. But we also have our regular lives, and I don’t think any of us can drop everything to spend a few months in the studio. Basically, any recording will likely be stretched out over a long period, as we share files and fit things in around our regular schedules.

Riot Fest has expanded its festival to a Sept. 8 date in Brooklyn, a Sept. 9 date in Toronto, and a Sept. 22 date in Dallas. The posters for each of the festivals - spoiler alert: they all feature the Descendents and other awesome bands - are in the replies. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster. Is Riot Fest making a name for itself as the best festival in America?

To celebrate Goldenvoice's 30th year of existence, KROQ has teamed up with them to run a 3-day festival with Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and the Descendents as the headliners. Hit the replies for dates.
