The Get Go will be playing the Metro in Chicago tomorrow night with The Frantic, The Scissors and Deadtown Revival for Share Your Soles. Bring your old shoes and drop them off at the door as they will be given out to the less fortunate in foreign countries.
The Get Go recorded two tracks at Atlus Studios in Chicago with Mike Herrera (MxPx) producing and Demar Hamilton (Plain White T's) playing drums. Dan Castady (The Fold) also lent his voice for some backups.
The Get Go have completed writing their second full length and will enter the studio in January to record. It will be released on Dynamord in Japan and the band will announce plans for their debut US release on Thanksgiving.
The Get Go and Scott Murphy have mutually decided to part ways. Scott is going to focus on his covers album series in Japan. Brian Lee (ex-White Tie Affair) will be his replacement. The band will be entering the studio this week to record for their US debut with Marc McClusky.
The Get Go (ex-Mest, Allister, and Showoff) will be playing a free show at the Metro in Chicago on Friday August 8th. All you have to do is go to their myspace page and print out their default pic and bring it to the show before they play at 6 pm.
The Get Go's (ex-Mest, Allister, and Showoff) debut Japanese album, Hello Again, is the 9th best selling rock record in Japan. They also charted in the top 100 at number 42 without yet releasing a single.
The Get Go (ex-Mest, Allister, Showoff) have shot a video for their debut Japanese single "Face In The Dirt." Their album Hello Again comes out in Japan tomorrow via Dynamord. The video was shot with director Benjamin Budzak and will be put up on their myspace soon.
The Get Go (Ex-Mest, Allister, and Showoff) have signed with Dynamord Records (Ellegarden) in Japan to release their Japanese debut full length Hello Again. They are still free agents in the US and are in talks with labels.
The Get Go (ex-Mest, Allister, and Showoff) entered the studio with producer Marc McClusky on Monday to start recording their debut full length. They will be hard at work on the album until November 6th.
The Get Go (ex-Mest, Allister, and Showoff) are making the songs on their myspace page free downloads for 48 hours starting at 12 AM on August 7th. This is in celebration and thanks of their first headlining Chicago show. They have also put pictures from the show up courtesy of "Jacenk Fotography" on their myspace page.
The Get Go (ex Mest, Showoff, and Allister) will be featured on Chicago Radio station Q101 tonight at 11pm in anticipation of their first Home town Chicago show on 7/25 at the Beat Kitchen. They will be playing three songs on air and doing a 10 minute interview. The feature will air at 11pm.
The Get Go (Ex Mest, Allister, Home Grown and Showoff) will be playing their first home town Chicago show on July 25th at the Beat Kitchen (2100 West Belmont) the same week as the final Allister show (7/20 @ The Metro). Tickets are now on sale here.
