Below is an update from Thrice:
MessageHey All,

As a lot of you may know, for the past month or so, we've been writing and recording our next album. We didn't want to say anything official until we'd finalized a lot of the details, but now that we're getting rolling on it, we want you guys to be the first to know what the plans are for this album.

We have started writing and recording a 4 disc concept record, with each disc being themed sonically and thematically to correspond with the four natural elements - earth, air, water and fire. The final record will have somewhere between 20 and 25 songs, divided between the 4 discs.

We are approaching the whole project in a new way...

Below is an update from Thrice concerning Race for the Cure.
UpdateHey Friends,

We just want to remind you about the Race for the Cure next month. It's a low impact, 5K walk to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. We're sure all of us know someone who's been affected by cancer and this eent is one way we can join together to show support for the survivors, a sympathy for those who'e lost loed ones, and do our part to help find a cure.

As a special thank you for those who participate, we will be doing a secret show afterwards where Dustin will play acoustic with Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music) and the Cold War Kids. If you haven't seen Chuck or the Cold War Kids...

According to the update below, Thrice has began writing a follow up to Vheissu.
UpdateHey Everyone,

Sorry the updates have been few and far between. We've all been hunkered down writing. We've been working on our next release which is a project we're all really excited about and will be announcing very soon. It's definitely the most ambitious thing we've undertaken artistically and we are really excited about it. So, stay tuned for the details....

The reason we're writing right now is because Dustin is doing a bunch of solo shows in a couple weeks that we wanted to make sure you were aware of. He'll be playing solo acoustically doing a mix of original songs, cover songs, and Thrice...

The ICM is organizing the "Global Night Commute" on April 29th to heighten awareness and expand educational opportunities for Uganda's children.

The organization is asking people to leave their homes for one night and commute to their local downtowns to sleep in the street in a demonstration to the government to act to end the war in Northern Uganda. It is happening in 136...

Thrice has left us with this update:
Thrice / AOL SessionsWe did a sessions for AOL two weeks ago and it's now live on the AOL Music site. We did 5 live songs with a string section and we'd love it if you checked them out when you have a minute. I would recommend starting with "Red Sky". As always, if you like it, pass it around.

We'd like to thank our friend Jeanie who played violin on these songs for composing the string parts and for bringing in musicians to play with her.

Up next:
-UK dates with Coheed and Cambria

Thrice Check InDear Friends, Greetings from Saskatoon. Yes, Saskatoon. It's just fun to say. By the way, if you weren't given the memo, Canada in December is...cold. We're going back into hibernation so we'll have to keep this short and sweet:

-Just a reminder that we have two Christmas songs now playing on our MySpace page. "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" is a song we did for KROQ back in 2003. "Carol of the Bells" is from this year. Both were produced and engineered by Teppei. Check 'em out.

-Tickets for our European co-headlining tour with Coheed & Cambria are on sale. Some of them (London, Manchester, Bristol) are getting close to sold out so...
