But we are. Everyone is the same. Whether it's a boy or girl singing on stage or someone walking down the street or in a classroom, no one should have to deal with being touched or sexually assaulted. For some reason musicians on stage are viewed as some kind of approachable sex symbols. And I'm sure a lot of people have seen a girl get on stage and hug a lead singer and not thought twice about whether or not they wanted to be hugged. But I certainly wouldn't walk up to a girl on the street I thought was cool or attractive...
Multiplereports are coming in from Warped Tour that Mixtapes' frontman Ryan Rockwell said something akin to "fuck tigers jaw. kiss whoever you want" while on stage today. I feel like the response from Tiger's Jaw on Twitter says it best: "disappointing. You had an opportunity to promote respectful behavior towards others and you did the opposite. Bad look."
Brianna from Tigers Jaw has released a statement regarding what occurred at last night's show. It's depressing that this even needs to be said, but everyone: read it -- share it.
Last night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, someone came on stage and very forcibly tried to kiss me, and actually did kiss Britty while she was playing. Another person from the tour was kissed while taking a photo… This tour is the first time something like this has happened to me, and I definitely feel responsible to say something.
IT IS NEVER OKAY TO TOUCH SOMEONE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. Ever. I felt so upset and violated, as did the others who this happened to.. Touching someone without their consent is...

Head to the replies to hear a new track from Tigers Jaw called "Hum," which is the lead track from the band's forthcoming fourth full-length album, due out early next year. The track is featured on the A-side of a new 7" single, which will be released Nov. 19 via Run For Cover, and which has an acoustic version of another song from the upcoming LP as a B-side. That 7" is available for preorder in the RFC webstore.
According to questions answered on Run For Cover Record's tumblr, Tigers Jaw finished their fourth full length prior to announcing their hiatus. They also hinted that an announcement regarding it may be made sometime in the near future.
Aside from the fact that this is Tigers Jaw’s final tour for who knows how long, I think the diversity of this tour is what makes it stand out. Dad Punchers loud version of indie-rock fits very well with Tigers Jaw’s indie influence meets old-fashioned emo/pop-punk style. Sainthood Reps old-school distortion-using jams bring another flavor to the menu, while Pianos Become The Teeth emotion-infused hardcore tears apart the stage. Even though Tigers Jaw are calling it quits for now, their legacy won’t be left in the dark, as they’ve paved the way for many more bands to...
Adam, Pat, and Dennis have leftTigers Jaw. While the band had to cancel its mainland Europe tour dates, they are still planning a full US Tour this summer. You can read their announcement in the replies.
Fans report in: At the Road to Ruin Festival in Philadelphia Tigers Jaw performed as a four piece (minus Ben Walsh). The entire set was extremely awkward and guitarist Adam McIlwee commented, "If he doesn't show up, he is a coward" at the beginning of the set. We've reached out for comment and will update this post if we hear anything.
Update: The label has said that Ben was not there "probably because of school."Scratch that: At a wedding.
Update #2: The band has posted the following message on Tumblr. We're idiots and we apologize for clearing up all those rumors that were all over twitter and whatnot.
Run For Cover Records is having a showcase at CMJ on Saturday, October 22. Tigers Jaw, Bridge and Tunnel, Koji, Daylight, GDP, Young Statues and the Tower and the Fool are all playing, along with one band to be announced. Check the replies for the poster.
