To Write Love On Her Arms won the first million dollar award given away by the American Giving Awards to go towards their cause. We'd like to congratulate Jamie and his crew for all of their hard work and continued success with their great non-profit organization.
To Write Love On Her Arms is one of five charities with a chance to win $1 million in the American Giving Awards contest. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will air on NBC this Saturday, Oct. 10th at 8pm EST. Fans can vote once a day from now until Dec. 8th here.

To Write Love on Her Arms will host Heavy and Light on January 9, 2010 at the House of Blues Orlando. The show will feature acoustic performances by Mat Kearney, Aaron Gillespie (Underoath/The Almost), Bryce Avary (The Rocket Summer), Stephen Christian (Anberlin), Aaron Marsh (Copeland), Zach Williams and Damion Suomi.

The Secret Handshake has teamed up with To Write Love on Her Arms to bring you their official "Summer of Love" tour t-shirt. The band will be donating half of the earnings from the shirt to the organization. Tickets for the tour can be bought here.
Renee Yohe (To Write Love On Her Arms' inspirational figure) is releasing her journals in a new book called Purpose For The Pain. The book is on pre-sale through District Lines and will be shipping on September 1st.
Tomorrow night, Dustin Kensrue (Thrice) will perform a free solo acoustic show at University of California-Irvine, along with a set from Josh Moore. Jamie Tworkowski, founder of To Write Love on Her Arms, will be speaking at the event with a Q&A session to follow. On Wed., March 12th at 11 a.m., Jamie will also be speaking at Cal State Fullerton. Josh Moore and an acoustic Meg & Diaare set to play.
