Tony was a fucking amazing songwriter and one of my dearest friends. His death was traumatic. Horrible. I’ve had friends die, but this was different. Tony wasn’t finished. I’ve been putting together this tribute comp for some time. It’s incredible how many bands have called me wanting to be on it. It’s been my absolute privilege to put this together. The newest episode of the comic series, which made its debut recently featuring Flatfoot 56, highlights the music of the late Tony Sly. NOFX, Teenage Bottlerocket, Elway and G.F.P. will be playing a benefit show in Walnut Creek, CA on December 15th. All proceeds will go to the Tony Sly Memorial Fund and tickets are available here.

Fat Wreck Chords has posted an update with funeral information for No Use For a Name frontman Tony Sly. They also mention that Tony died "peacefully in his sleep."

Paper + Plastick Records has announced a new comic book/music project called "Story/Song." The project will feature one 12-page comic book a month that is written based on a song. The band will change every month, and it will be a brand-new recording of an already existing song. The first installment will be in late May and feature the music of Tony Sly.
