Fender has posted up their picks for "top 10 most instantly recognizable guitar riffs" -- pretty hard to argue with most of these, but what would you add? While not anywhere near the classic status of all the songs on this list, I'd say Blink-182's "Dammit" has one of those riffs.

I started a good debate yesterday on Twitter when I began talking about if fun., with their Grammy nominations and success, had crossed them into the top 5 of bands that have ever come from this "scene." This got me (and others) thinking about what the top bands that have broken through into the mainstream have been ... and well, with that ... I decided it would make a damn good Thursday discussion. I was listening to Brandtson's Send Us a Signal last night, and it got me thinking about albums that are so good and yet most people probably don't own them or even know about them. Ummm ... and if that's not a good catalyst for a top 10 list, I don't know what is. So here are the top 10 albums that I think go unnoticed and you should check out.
