Fashion Meets Music Festival and headlining artist R. Kelly have come to the mutual decision to cancel Kelly’s upcoming performance, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, August 29th. FMMF will still proceed as planned on August 29-31st in Columbus, Ohio.

Living in Gainesville for four years taught me lots of things, and one of them was that there existed in Central and Northern Florida a hotbed of talented punk and emo bands. I watched groups like Gainesville's Dikembe and Orlando's You Blew It! play house shows before they signed to Tiny Engines and Topshelf Records, respectively, and I discovered Orlando's Henrietta when they put out a split with Tallahassee's Echo Base (who they will hit the road with this summer - dates in the replies) and South Florida's Gillian Carter.
