The Transit War has been added to the 91X Nightmare Before Xmas in San Diego with Angels and Airwaves, Bad Religion, and Against Me!. The band is planning to start writing their follow up to 2006's Miss Your Face and are hoping for a mid 2008 release.
Pre-sale for Bamboozle Left (taking place April 5th and 6th in Irvine, CA) will begin November 23rd at 3 PM at Bamboozle Left's website and general sale of tickets will be on December 10th. Two-day passes will be $75 and single-day passes $39.50, and the bands (playing on six stages) will be announced on November 23rd at noon.
Steel Train's sophomore release Trampoline is in its second week and is still one of Billboards Top Ten Heatseekers (#10), top New Artists, and top Independent Albums (#34). Entertainment Weekly called it “relentlessly sincere and introspective”, Esquire.com called it “one of the best albums of 2007” and Relix Magazine says “having spent a nonstop life on the road, this band proves that they deserve the attention.” The band is currently finishing up a headlining tour with Ace Enders and Kevin Devine that is in it’s last week.
Rookie of the Year just added some headlining shows which you can find the dates for on their MySpace. After that, they will be finishing pre-production for their new record and will be recording that in February with Matt Malpass (Copeland, Ying Yang Twins, Ivory, Lydia). No release date has been set yet.
Olympia have posted another new song on their myspace called "Even Rome Had Sewers". The song comes from their album Emergencies that is available in stores now, or on iTunes. Don't forget Olympia is kicking off their winter touring plans in a couple weeks; dates can be found in the replies.
Lannen Fall, winners of our Saints & Sinners contest, will be heading into the studio mid-November to record tracks with John Naclerio at Nada Studios and will be posting at least one of them soon after at their MySpace. The band also have a few dates coming up with Sound the Alarm and The High Court that you can find more info for below. For those of you attending Saints & Sinners, the band will be playing at 2:50 PM on Sunday at the Paramount Stage.
