Following a break-up announcement in July, Planes Mistaken For Stars have added more dates to their spurt of farewell tours. Additionally, No Idea Records is set to release The First Four Years in November, a compilation of all the music the band released in the first four years of being PMFS. Peachcake has announced the first set of dates for their "Peachcake House Party Extravaganza Tour!" (on the way to CMJ/and back) in which they will be playing a mixed-pallet of both venue shows and house shows. Head to the replies for the tour dates.
Jack's Mannequin have announced that they will be postponing five college dates this month. A statement from management is below. The band will still fulfill two previously scheduled charity dates on October 16th and October 17th opening for Dashboard Confessional in Andrew's home town of Los Angeles, CA. HEALTH started their fall tour yesterday; find the dates in the replies. They'll be playing select shows with Crime Novels, AIDS Wolf, Aa, Yip Yip and a variety of other bands. Their self-titled debut album hit stores last week on Lovepump United. Cold Sweat Records will be releasing the vinyl version of the album.
Division Day (Eenie Meenie Records) has posted four new songs for download on their Virb page: two cover songs (Sunny Day Real Estate's "Every Shining Time You Arrive" and Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence") and two remixes from their upcoming album, Beartrap Island. The band has also announced tour dates for the month of October, which you can view in the replies.
Kings for Queens will post two new downloadable songs on their myspace in mid-October. Plans for a full-length album release are set for early Spring of 2008. Call It Arson is at God City Studios this week, recording a new 7" with Kurt Ballou. It should see a release in early 2008 on Kill Normal Records. They also have some upcoming tour dates which can be seen below.
