New Jersey quartet March of the Mannequins(ex-Tourmaline) has posted their new song "Dreamer," on their Facebook page. The song is the first single off their EP The Remedy, which was produced by Chris Badami.
March of the Mannequins (featuring two ex-members of Tourmaline) has started pre-production for their upcoming release. The band will be recording with Chris Badami in early April. Head here to hear the demo "Faithful."
The Embracers have posted an unmastered new song called "The King and Queen" on their myspace page for 48 hours only. The song is going to be on their new EP, tentatively titled Stripped, which will be out later this year. The band is currently finishing up at White Heat Recording Studios with producer Matt Rauch (Morningwood, Tourmaline, Socratic).
Tourmaline have added a unique subscription-based purchase option on their online store. For $20/year, fans get access to bonus tracks, remixes, new/old demos - sent directly to their e-mail inbox. According to the page, "sometimes you'll get one track, sometimes you'll get five, maybe you'll get a whole new record."

Butch Vig is rumored to be producing the yet-untitled, forthcoming Green Day album. Joe McGrath (whose recent work includes Tourmaline's The Swindle) is also said to be assisting in the process as well.
Tourmaline's upcoming album features vocals by Jason Gleason of Old Wives (formerly Action Reaction) on four songs and Richard Lloyd from Television playing guitar on one. The band has finished tracking and are currently mixing.
I recently visited Matt Rauch of Tourmaline's new studio, White Heat Recording Studios, and interviewed him and wrote an article concerning what goes into building your own studio. Matt from Tourmaline is in the middle of building a new recording studio, White Heat Studios, in Fairfield, NJ. It should be open for business in mid-December. For more information, head over to the studio's myspace. Matt will start recording ActionReaction's new demos and starting pre-production on Red Light Green Light's new album in mid-December also.
Tourmaline has posted several new Joe McGrath-produced songs on the band's myspace profile. In addition, the group will be playing a residency at the Knitting Factory in New York City each Tuesday night in November (free PBR will be served from 9-10PM). The band will begin recording their new full length in February with McGrath at White Heat Recording Studios.
Tourmaline have posted a new song called "Evil Woman" that the band recorded on analog tape. It has a very funky classic rock sound to it. What do you think? In other news, if you're in the NYC area, they'll be playing the Knitting Factory tomorrow, so go check them out in person.

We've worked out a cool AbsolutExclusive with Tourmaline for you guys. On Wednesday, July 5th, we will be making their brand new, self-titled Tourmaline EP available for exclusive download. It features five new songs; the track list is below. Tracks 3-5 were available as demos for a while on Purevolume/Myspace, but the band has re-recorded and remastered them for this EP. Get excited because this is going to be pretty good stuff.
Tourmaline will be in the studio over the summer to record the follow-up to 2005's Strange Distress Calls. More information on the producer and details on the album will follow once the band gets ready to hit the studio. They're currently on tour supporting...
Tourmaline is in the studio recording a couple of songs for an upcoming EP that will be released on iTunes. It will consist of six tracks, including "Michael," "Message," and "Face the World" (available on Purevolume as demos), two new songs, and an acoustic demo (the latter three tracks which we will have as an Exclusive for you in early June). No release date or title has been set.
