Tourmaline has posted several new Joe McGrath-produced songs on the band's myspace profile. In addition, the group will be playing a residency at the Knitting Factory in New York City each Tuesday night in November (free PBR will be served from 9-10PM). The band will begin recording their new full length in February with McGrath at White Heat Recording Studios.
Tourmaline have posted a new song called "Evil Woman" that the band recorded on analog tape. It has a very funky classic rock sound to it. What do you think? In other news, if you're in the NYC area, they'll be playing the Knitting Factory tomorrow, so go check them out in person.

We've worked out a cool AbsolutExclusive with Tourmaline for you guys. On Wednesday, July 5th, we will be making their brand new, self-titled Tourmaline EP available for exclusive download. It features five new songs; the track list is below. Tracks 3-5 were available as demos for a while on Purevolume/Myspace, but the band has re-recorded and remastered them for this EP. Tourmaline is in the studio recording a couple of songs for an upcoming EP that will be released on iTunes. It will consist of six tracks, including "Michael," "Message," and "Face the World" (available on Purevolume as demos), two new songs, and an acoustic demo (the latter three tracks which we will have as an Exclusive for you in early June). No release date or title has been set.
Word has it that Tourmaline will be doing something special for their fans this coming Monday; message the band on MySpace to find out what the surprise is.
Tourmaline was forced to drop off of their string of dates with Big City Dreams as singer Matt Rauch has fallen ill. He initially had strep throat, but that has spread to his stomach. He was admitted into hospital on Wednesday and has recovering slowly but steadily since.
