Noisey has interviewed Evan Weiss of Into It. Over It. Spoiler alert: they talk about what it means to be emo in 2014 and meeting John C. Reilly.
Talking to [Pitchfork’s] Ian Cohen, his opinion is just like, “Well you know, the records are better.” And I would say that that’s true, I think a lot of the bands involved are writing really great records now and figuring out who they want to be in the end, how they want the shit to sound. We’re all in uncharted territory.

“This is a record of self-realization. It’s all pretty self-absorbed and personal, and it all came from within. When we show it to people close to us, it can get uncomfortable because of how personal and relatable it is.” says guitarist and back up vocalist, Chris Mojan. “We were able to break everything down when we were writing,” Mojan continues. “I think that shows on the...

Moving right along with highlighting lists from our Best of 2013 feature, today we're showing off our own mysterious leader Jason Tate's list, because even though he is in charge we somehow haven't done that yet, along with those of awe-inspiring staff members Scott Weber and Alex DiVincenzo. I have worked with Alex for three years and have never not copy/pasted his last name when writing it. We're also bragging about the fact that cool industry insiders like Fred Feldman (Triple Crown owner), Jesse Cannon (producer and author) and Jamie Coletta (SideOneDummy publicist) contributed their favorite picks from 2013 as well. Enjoy and remember, nothing you did last year counted unless you...

From Indian Lakes have signed to Triple Crown Records. The band will begin recording their label debut in early 2014. The label also announced there will be a vinyl re-issue of Able Bodies in October.
“We are excited to announce that we have signed to Triple Crown Records. We have always been a DIY kind of band and that isn't changing now. Releasing Able Bodies on our own was incredible, but there were some things that we felt could have been better for our fans, and partnering with Triple Crown is going to make the next release even more special. They are also a label that supports artistic freedom, which is what's most important to us and hopefully everyone who supports us. Looking...
