On November 2, Sony will start selling a 40GB Playstation 3 for $400, while the 80GB model will drop to $500. Unfortunately, the cheapo model will not support backwards-compatibility with PS2 games.

The Sex Pistols reunited briefly with three of the original members to provide an original master copy of "Anarchy in the UK" for the third installment of the popular Guitar Hero series. The aforementioned trio will be playing sellout shows in London in November.

In a surprising turn of events, it appears the hit video game franchise Guitar Hero will be making an appearance on computers this Fall, with its third installment Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The console-based game will hit stores on October 29th courtesy of Neversoft.

A Billboard article discussing Aerosmith's recording plans has unveiled a small tidbit concerning the next edition of Guitar Hero.
ArticleAerosmith is also working closely with the makers of "Guitar Hero IV," which will be dedicated to the Boston group's music. "I don't know much about the technical part of it," Perry says, "but artistically we're working hand in hand."
