Update: The chat is now over. A huge thanks goes out to Kevin for taking time to answer questions from our users. If you missed the chat, don't be afraid to enter the tread and poke around; there may even be a Warped Tour band or two hidden within.
Kevin Lyman, creator of Vans Warped Tour and Rockstar Taste of Chaos, will be chatting in this thread at approximately 8 p.m. EST. Come in to find out more about the landmark festivals, what's in store for Kevin in the future, the music industry in general, or just to say hello.
Kevin Lyman recently wrote a piece about this year's Warped Tour Smartpunk stage co-headliners Set Your Goals. You can read it here. If Kevin Lyman's recommendation isn't enough reason to check them out, the AP.net staff also thinks they're pretty good.
Broadway Calls has signed to Adeline Records. They are re-releasing their debut full-length on the label March 18th, 2008. They have also been announced to play the entire Warped Tour this year. Also, they are embarking on a tour with Ruiner starting today. The dates are in the replies.
One of our astute readers listened to Kevin Lyman (creator of Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos) speak at Ferris State University earlier tonight and provided this detailed description of the highlights, including record industry thoughts, Warped '08, and a Warped '07 DVD. Read the full account below.
As Warped Tour '07 comes to a close, Absolute Access was able to venture down to one of the remaining dates on this year's tour. We were able to feature 3 bands, each at different levels of Warped tour, including The Starting Line, All Time Low, and Go Crash Audio. The videos can be seen here or in the replies.
Not that you need a reminder Warped Tour is still taking place, but those planning on attending the few remaining dates, please make sure and stop by the Absolutepunk tent for free stuff, signings, and hang with some of the staff. Info on the remaining dates can be seen here.
Wondering how my day went at Warped Tour this past Sunday? Well, check out my blog about it anyway. If you're more of a visual person (or even if you're not), check out our Buzznet page for some updated pictures of the day.
We have some new Warped Tour pictures from Cleveland and Long Island over at our Buzznet profile. In case you were wondering, we're trying to keep the tent from flying away. We ended up having five inches of rain and hail, and 60 mile per hour winds in a 90 minute period. Also, if you missed them, don't forget to check back at some of the pictures taken by myself and Julia Conny in the past week or so.
Due to the crazy storm all of you endured, you can go to any of the remainder Warped Tour dates for free by taking your ticket stub for the Cleveland stop to the Will Call Booth of the next date you attend.
There are lots of fresh Warped Tour pictures over at our Buzznet profile. I've also updated my blog with my personal Warped Tour adventures, which you can read over here. If you haven't been to the festival yet, make sure you stop by the AbsolutePunk tent, pick up some free goodies, and check out our signings.
If you didn't get a chance to complete the puzzle, head to the replies to check out a small part of the artwork surrounding Coheed and Cambria's upcoming album, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV Volume 2: No World For Tomorrow.
For the rest of their dates on Warped Tour, The Graduate has been upgraded to the Hurley.com stage. And if you don't already have a copy of their full-length, Anhedonia, they are selling it for a special Warped price of five dollars.
I just recently updated our Warped Tour photo blog on Buzznet with some pictures I caught at the Atlanta date of the tour. Check it out here and be sure to come by the AP.net tent in the upcoming dates on the tour.
The Warped Tour date today in Houston has been postponed until tomorrow due to heavy rain.
