It's come to my attention that Weezer have been posting studio updates and mini webisodes every Wednesday on the band's Facebook page. Head to the replies to see some of the most recent ones, including clips of new songs called "Ain't Got Nobody" and "The Waste Land." If you remember, the band is currently recording with Ric Ocaresk.

Ten bands will take part in a new feature at Riot Fest called "10 Years. 10 Essential Albums." The Offspring will play all of Smash in Chicago; Weezer will tackle the entire Blue Album in Chicago and Denver; Descendents will perform Milo Goes To College in Chicago and The Get Up Kids will do Something To Write Home About in Chicago. Riot Fest will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year in Toronto (Sept. 6-7), Chicago (Sept. 12-14), and Denver (Sept. 19-21). The lineup has been announced and bands include The Cure, Weezer, Rise Against, The National, and more. Tomorrow (May 10th), Weezer's debut album will turn 20 years old. In the replies, you can check out an essay I wrote about the album and why it was so successful and remains an integral part of rock and roll today (Blake will have a Weezer-centric playlist on the site this upcoming Monday).
