Contrary to a recent news post made on this site, it turns out albumsix.com is a hoax. The album will not be called Tout Ensemble and there has been no announcement of a release date. Weezer has posted an official update on their site that you can read it below.
Dashboard Confessional have made their rendition of Weezer's "El Scorcho" available for streaming here. The track is taken from The Wire Tapes: Volume One, a collection of cover songs available exclusively on the act's ongoing headlining tour.
The Rentals, headed by Matt Sharp (ex-Weezer), new EP The Last Little Life, the bands first release since 1999's Seven More Minutes, is available for download on iTunes. The EP is officially released Tuesday August, 14th.
Weezer is polishing up a batch of songs for a recording session that will start sometime in July. This will be the final recording session for the band's sixth album and follow-up to Make Believe, which they plan to release in the first half of 2008.
Weezer have begun assembling a live DVD for release sometime in 2006. A message on the band's website has stated that the DVD will contain, "a 2-day, 7-camera shoot of the shows, plus material that will be drawn from various 'behind the scenes' footage that both the Japanese company is shooting as well as footage I've been gathering as we travel around."
