Rivers Cuomo (Weezer) will release a solo album consisting of old Weezer demos entitled Alone - The Home Recordings Of Rivers Cuomo on December 11.

Dashboard Confessional have made their rendition of Weezer's "El Scorcho" available for streaming here. The track is taken from The Wire Tapes: Volume One, a collection of cover songs available exclusively on the act's ongoing headlining tour.

Rivers Cuomo (Weezer) is shopping his memoirs.

In James Montgomery's latest installment of Bigger Than The Sound, he manages to insult 50 Cent, Weezer and Panic! At The Disco.

Weezer is polishing up a batch of songs for a recording session that will start sometime in July. This will be the final recording session for the band's sixth album and follow-up to Make Believe, which they plan to release in the first half of 2008.

Pauseandplay.com is reporting that Weezer is getting ready to record and release a new album in 2006/2007 on Geffen Records.

Weezer have begun assembling a live DVD for release sometime in 2006. A message on the band's website has stated that the DVD will contain, "a 2-day, 7-camera shoot of the shows, plus material that will be drawn from various 'behind the scenes' footage that both the Japanese company is shooting as well as footage I've been gathering as we travel around."
