Do you think Yellowcard's Ocean Avenue is a sophomore slump or comeback of the year? We've pitted two staff members against each other to debate its merits on whether it will live on as a worthy successor or fall into the dreaded sophomore slump category. Read the justification for each in the replies and feel free to post your own thoughts.

Big If have posted a blog regarding rumors of Yellowcard and Reeve Oliver breaking up.
Message from RyanLots of you are sending messages asking about the fate of our previous bands. Neither Yellowcard or Reeve Oliver feel like it is necessary to announce official break ups. There may come a time down the road where we want to get together and play shows with those bands. Who knows when that may be, but we aren't ruling it out completely. However, Sean and I are really excited about working together and we are both focusing 100% of our energy and effort on BIG IF. I hope this clears it up a bit and thanks so much for all of this early support. We are going to need it!

Yellowcard will be going on an indefinite hiatus after their current tour.
From the InterviewZF: As this tour is wrapping up, what are your plans for the rest of the year?

RK: You know, you are the first person that has ever asked that in an interview. That's kind of weird. I have to finally answer it. We really don't have any plans. We are calling it an "Indefinite Hiatus." After this tour, so, I don't know. It could be a year, 10 years, or 6 months. It's been an interesting time in this business and our record label. It's just. We kind of need a break. I think it appears everything is ok on its surface but we definitely need a little bit of time to figure out our personal lives. It...

Yellowcard has posted a myspace blog about their acoustic shows in the Middle East. You can read it below.
BlogThis past week has been quite an experience. Sean, Mendez, and myself travelled to the Middle East to perform for our service men and women stationed there. It was 19 hours of flying each way and we just got back today. While we were there we had been scheduled to play in Kuwait the first day and then head north into Iraq for the rest of the trip. At the last minute the President came in after his visit to Israel which made it impossible to get a flight north. All of the resources there were being used for security. So we made some changes and ended up playing the bases in and...

All Time Low will not be touring with Yellowcard as previously planned due to scheduling conflicts. A message from the band on what to expect in 2008 can be found below.
Updatehi guys,
We wanted to take a minute out of our day and wish everyone a happy new year and say thank you for making 2007 probably the best year of our lives thus far. We thought last year was great, but this year was beyond what any of us ever expected it to be. 2007 saw us do Bamboozle for the first time, our first full Warped Tour, our first BIG club tour with Boys Like Girls. We went over seas with the Plain White T's and played a sold out show every single night we were there. We also put out our first full...
