So assuming that this weekend... Thanks for the ad. I'm surprised you don't know my brother since you live in Irvine. It looks like you know a lot of people I do. | | Reply | Wall-to-Wall |

Oh I start school before the tour, I'm gonna see if I can convince the 'rents to pay for a flight home for the weekend. Here's to optimism!
And Kadawatha is awesome. Check out Bloom Now Bloom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwIKgtFS3NQ&feature=related ) and Whitest Tiger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kog4Cz5vH4E) if you want a general idea of the sound. Been obsessed with them lately, so good. | | Reply | Wall-to-Wall |

AHHH I wanted to go to the Bakersfield show so badly! I proposed it to my brother earlier (same music taste), but we decided to wait for an added date if possible. It's ridiculous that they won't be in LA, what the hell's in Bakersfield?! It's like a barren wasteland of dry heat. But I'll try to persuade him. Apparently the Honda Civic Tour is going to be in Anaheim, though, so I'll get to go to that at the very least. Kadawatha's going on that tour, too. Nobody really knows them, but they're pretty great. | | Reply | Wall-to-Wall |

Wait what? When/where are the Thrice/Manchester and Paramore shows? I could have sworn I was ruled out for the latter, but I come home on the fifth of May, so maybe I can catch them. I've been dying to see Paramore, haven't since pre-Riot tour (last time anyone would hear most of AWKIF live). Totally gonna overload on shows this summer to make up for the abysmally lacking amount I went to over the year. | | Reply | Wall-to-Wall |

Yeah, it's a private. Portland is super cool minus excessive rain - but that's what I go home to California to escape from, haha. I think most UCs tend to be like that, though SD has had a bunch of awesome bands play for free (Copeland, Mae, Meg & Dia, etc). We only get crappy local folk indie/electronica bands on campus, no one wanted to see Brand New/Thursday/Eye Alaska/any Portland shows with me! But CA will have some good ones this summer. | | Reply | Wall-to-Wall |

For sure. He pretty much consoled us by saying he was far from quitting music - still, Copeland ending puts a dent on the scene regardless. I'm up in Portland, Oregon at Lewis & Clark, but my school's population listens to bands no one knows of, criteria being the more obscure the better, haha. Very few listen to bands like Anberlin or Thrice or anything remotely of the like. Alas. Where d'you go? | | Reply | Wall-to-Wall |
