ha ha! what a bunch of under-achievers. they came into the season with a payroll well above $100 million and they're gonna finish last in the division for the second season in a row.

is this where all the veteran players go to die? mo vaughn, roberto alomar (recently traed), roger cedeno, tom glavine, mike stanton, etc...

yes they are pathetic, they need to begin their rebuilding around jose reyes. hes the best they got. just start trading everyone for prospects. look at cincy they did that too, pittsburgh is doing the same thing, so is detriot (well it wont really matter if they do or dont) they should just get rid of as much payroll as possible. then spend it on quality young pitchers, infielders and outfielders. be like the rays, have one of the youngest teams in baseball.

the only people worth it on the mets are reyes, wiggington, and wilson. piazza should be at 1B, and cedeneo should die
