Fans Report In- Cartel Gets Screwed

Fan reports in: “Last night I saw As Tall As Lions (www.astallaslions.com), and The Receiving End of Sirens (www.thereceivingendofsirens.com), Cartel (www.cartelrocks.com) and A Second Chance ( http://ascrock.com/ ) in Worcester, MA on the last day of the “Lions, Sirens, and Bears” tour. All I've got to say was that it was a first for me with TREOS and Cartel... and wow... They were both incredible. However, There was a few down points on the evening and I'm sure nobody will be surprised by this, but someone stole a Gibson SG (with a lot of sentimental value) from Nick in Cartel. Not only did that happen to Cartel, but their set was cut short by about 15 minutes. The singer, Will, was caught taking a shot of alcohol from As Tall As Lions' guitarist, Sean, and the club freaked out. Bouncers were everywhere, the cops came and made a totally huge deal about a stupid thing (apparently he's underrage). They then proceeded to throw out Will (Cartel) and Sean (ATAL), so Cartel was done at that point and ATAL had to play acoustic. It was definitely a real crappy night for the bands on their last tour night, but we all hung out afterwards and terrorized a local Denny's and I realized what awesome people they were. Just thought I'd share that. Also, A Second Chance rocked my face off, and also announced their signing with Warner Bros. and their tentative release date for their album is May 24th”

yeah thats pretty shitty about his sg...but the shot, if he is underrage, and some douche bag cop was in there, he could had arrested him, and had the bars liquor license suspended(happened here). so shouldnt be any bitching about that

the guys from as tall as lions were so sweet when I saw them in michigan... "wheres the party at after? seriously, if it comes down to it were getting a hotel room and you can come party with us"... so good. that sucks that went down on the last night of tuor, but im pretty sure they made the best of it, all those bands were real solid.

but the whole will/sean alcholo deal, is pretty funny. I feel bad that they got kicked out, and that the bands couldn't play their last tour date properly. But come on...one shot of alcohol got the lead singer of one of the bands, and another member of the headlining band, kicked out. Its funny. but stupid at the same time. (im not calling the band members stupid...im talking about the fact that the venue kicked them out, called the cops, blah blah blah)

wow....i think the last sentence of this thread should be a thread on its own. A Second Chance is probably one of the most incredible bands to come along in a REALLLY long time...

we all knew they'd get signed at some point...but thats awesome. I have to say though, I wasnt expecting it to be Warner Bros who'd sign them...but hey - good for them. hometown boys, too - if you havent heard them yet, definitely check em out.

i'm going to let you all in on a secret. Worcester sucks. A LOT. that venue...is one of the worst places EVER. the cops came to a show i went to there and shut it down because people were throwing PEEPS! (yes! the easter marshmallow candy.)

although, i'm glad they found Denny's. because, that's Worcester's only redeeming quality.

its funny to have jsut read this cause i went to see my friends band play with cartel last night (thursday) in buffalo, ny and the guys in cartel were joking bout the whole situation during their set (minus the guitar thing..not funny) and they said that they best thing to do when you're wasted is to go to denny's or something like that hahaha..but they played a good set...it was the first time id seen them...shitty venue though..too small...way too small.
