I wish I could buy toys without being looked down upon:-(
Star Wars action figures were fucking awesome

Ha by who the person making min. wage behind the counter of Toys R Us? Plus if it really bugs you if they think you're weird just say they're for your lil bro/cousin/nephew whatever...or you can always just buy them online.

most of them are just knock off's of what we used to have
I had so many toys as a kid. I had all the he-man and thundercat toys. Lots of voltron stuff. Even more GI JOES,
As I got older I was all about some x-men toys I had just about all of them.
At the moment I have been collecting mighty muggs cause they are so damn cute

anyone remember in 93 when Power Rangers were IMPOSSIBLE to find??? I swear, you'd go to the toy section and find like a million squatt's, baboo's, even some goldar's, but NEVER any of the Rangers lol
When I was a kid my uncle worked on a ship. He went to America and got me the Ninja Power Rangers and the Ninja Megazords before the show was even on over here. It was badass.

I don't know, I'd say today's LEGOs destroy LEGOs from even 10 years ago. I mean shit, they came out with Star Wars LEGOs (best combination of two franchises EVER), and they keep making those better. My family still gives me those for my birthday/Christmas (because they know I still like them). I was also pretty big into those miniature soldiers, tanks, and airplanes...they might have been Micro-Machines, I'm not sure. I think toys like that have been replaced by aliens and robots nowadays, though.

yeah they were, I was into power rangers with my little brother. my parents got him all the ranger figures.
Shit was hard as hell to find, he had all the zords too. We never had the green ranger though, always wanted that one.

Very true. I bought some Star Wars figures as a joke for my friends on Christmas, but I secretly wanted to play with them. The figures, not my friends.

Man I can't believe I missed this thread. I used to be a huge action figure collector. Mostly horror related stuff: Dawn of the Dead, Movie Maniacs, Puppet Masters ect. But I also love obscure/generic 80's toys.
This is my lone display wall, so 75% of my stuff is currently in boxes....but I plan on someday building a room in my basement to house everything. Here is a link (http://www.absolutepunk.net/journal.php?do=showcomments&j=13022&e=115942) to close up pictures.
I still have all of my star wars ships

Some of my favorite action figure related sites.
Virtual Toy Chest (http://www.virtualtoychest.com/) - Pictures and check lists of most toys. Very cool hard to find and little known stuff.
He-man.org (http://www.he-man.org/) - The most complete Masters Of The Universe site you can find. Its includes the original series, New Adventures, She-ra, and the more recent edition.
Figure Realm (http://www.figurerealm.com/Home.php) - More modern stuff.
Little Rubber Guy (http://www.littlerubberguys.com/forums/index.php?) - Covers littler stuff like Muscle Men, Soma, Army Ants, Gut Guys etc.
Puppet Masters/Full Moon Toys (http://www.ween.net/puppetmaster/figures.html) - My favorite toy line. Puppet Masters based off the well known Puppet Master series by Full Moon.

My Favorites:
The first are Nightmare Warriors which was an obscure toy line from the early 80's. Basically a skeleton version of He-man with costumes based on well known historical figures. And they glow in the dark, or at least used to.
The Second are mint (all but one i guess) condition boxed figures of an unlicensed Dawn of the Dead series from the early 90's out of Japan. The quality isn't great, but they are cool as hell to look at. This is the only thing I refuse to open.

I've been trying to get ahold of a complete set of these for about 2 years now via ebay. I just can't afford $30-40 PER figure. I'll wait for McFarlane re-releases when the WTWTA movie comes out.

I remember all I wanted when I was little was the car from Jurassic Park, the red and green one. I pretty much had every other toy from the movie, but that's the one I always wanted but never got. I'm still bitter about it, haha.
Good thread!
