The Billboard Rising melodic-metal group Our Last Night make a thunderous return with the release of their sophomore album, We Will All Evolve, due out May 4 via Epitaph Records. Fans can check out the first track from the album, “Elephants,” streaming now on their MySpace page.
Like the album’s title suggests, the New Hampshire quintet have gone through their own evolution over the past few years. Transforming into a tightly knit group and honing their craft of striking technicality, crushing metal-laden riffs and catchy melodic choruses, Our Last night have emerged with one of the scene’s most impactful records of 2010.
Produced by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, Versa Emerge) and mixed by David Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, Set Your Goals), We Will All Evolve explodes with depth and maturity blending harsh and melodious vocals over progressive, breakneck-metal driven guitars, heavy hitting bass and pummeling drums. Ripping through thirty-seven plus minutes of melodic mayhem with tracks like the furious first single, “Elephants,” the indisputably catchy “The Air I Breath,” and the bouncy pop-metal hybrid “Into the Future,” Our Last Night prove without a doubt why they’ll be the scene’s most buzzed about band.
Our Last Night will be hitting the road for a US tour this May in support of We Will All Evolve, which will include select dates on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour.

They want you to buy their shit. I went to school with a couple of these kids and was in the same music club as them and they are not the nicest people on Earth. Fame came way to quickly and they are not down to Earth. Pretentious is what I would call them.

Oh, and on top of that, now they are touring with Saosin. I mean, jeez, they've previously toured with Alesana & LoveHateHero, and they've already played Bamboozle and the Zumiez Couch Tour. Their next tour is with freakin' Gwen Stacy. COME ON, these kids are getting to the top really fast and I'm happy for them.
And to the guy who said the screamer is a douche... get a reality check, man. Trevor is a cool kid. I've met him twice and he's really nice, he's just kinda quiet. I think it's because he's still kindof in shock from all of the attention he's getting from fangirls, since he's only fifteen. But I'm gonna keep my mouth shut about that because, not gonna lie, I was a fangirl for about forty different bands, including Our Last Night, and yeah, I'm still not going to get over this kid, he's a real role model.
TBH Matt is the talker, I get into conversations with him all the time. This whole band is just a bunch of down-to-earth kids who play epic music. If you don't like them then fuck off, they don't need haters.
BTW, they totally do NOT sound like Underoath. Get your ears cleaned out. They've brought their own sound into the music world. | | |
