worked really hard on this one, the flow is excellent imo....very melancholy...hope someone can enjoy it...i know some of these songs are widely popular and known but if somehow youve missed out heres a chance to check them out.

i recommend grabbin' a cup of coffee, a few smokes if youre into that kind of thing, and seein' where this takes you for an hour....

regards,

brian

Summer Reading & Ol' Dusty Journals.
05/30/07 at 08:46 PM by IcedOpethBlind
This summer i've begun reading alot for enjoyment, something i hadnt really done since i was, oh maybe 10? I know, its been awhile since I've really enjoyed a good read outside of music magazines & Popular Mechanics... I began with The Giver, which I finished in just a couple days, then went out to Barnes & Noble and picked up Rob Sheffield's Love Is a Mix Tape: Life and Loss, One Song at a Time which you can partially decifer what its about just from the title, but for reference check Amazon.com if you care to further check it out...its nice to put yourself in someone else's shoes for awhile when things have been quite down and out.

Anywho, I'm looking for the next book of choice so if anyone out there in myspace world has a next suggestion or current read they're really enjoying, throw it my way!

I've also begun writing in an old journal an old girl friend gave me years back...its a pale green journal with life simply written on the front...its both refreshing and saddening to read past thoughts that youve completely forgotten since the pen was put to paper...it seems i was into writing down catch phrases i either thought of or saw on billboard signs, fortune cookies or snapple commercials the last times i really wrote in it....the last journal entry though was a note i had written to my grandmother as she lay virtually lifeless in a nearby hospital bedroom two februarys ago...i think ill end this blog there...it just feels good to write again...

good night
