For anyone who may care, my band Hideouts has been quite busy this past year playing a ton, getting out on the road, and had pans to start writing for a full length record after self releasing 2 EPs that we are super proud of over the past 2 years. Plans change however! Our direction has changed with the news that producer Andrew Wade(A Day To Remember, The Ghost Inside, Motionless in White, The Word Alive) has taken an interest in us and will be helping take us to the next level!
Andrew has selected Hideouts as the winner of his nationwide talent search for a band he can help build a career for. Part of this deal means we will receive FREE production, writing, mixing, engineering and mastering for 5 songs that will comprise EP3 which will then be shopped to labels in the hopes of us getting signed. If such a thing were to happen, we would then be coming back to Andrew to record our debut full length album! No matter how you look at it, this is win win for us as a band and a huge opportunity that we couldnt be more stoked for!
Us Huntington Beach boys will be joining Andrew at his studio in Orlando Florida early next year to track the as of yet untitled/unwritten record, so these next few months will be quite busy at our camp. We will be writing extensively in the hops of crafting songs that we can be 100% stoked on and are ready to give it our all!
In more present news, it looks like we will have a new music video in the coming months for the final single from our Obsessed record. The last single we will release a video for is going to be "Who I Could Be." Often considered one of the more relatable tracks on the record. Beau Burchell(Saosin) definitely had his hands in some of those leads haha.
In the meantime, i have also been a busy cat with the design and construction of our band website, located at www.wearehideouts.com. If any bands are looking for some website help, hit me up!
We just shot a music video for our single "Alleybyes" this past weekend. Cant wait to see how it came out! Also, our debut Stuck Between Stories EP is entirely done and ready for release. Look out November!
Already cant wait to get started tracking the songs for our full length :)
So tomorrow we begin tracking drums for the final 4 songs of the Hideouts EP with our producer Jon Berry(Rufio/Runner), and i im super stoked to announce that Cameron Webb is going to be co engineering on it! He is a producer ive been personally wanting to work with for years, who has produced many amazing records for bands you all know and love, so to have his help on this ep is beyond cool to me. So excited for this!
Also, as if that werent cool enough, we are tracking it at Dexter Hollands studio here in Huntington Beach. Hes the singer of a little ole band called The Offspring, so were even more excited to be able to work at his place as well! Damn. We are very fortunate to be able to work with these amazing people, and we are very excited to bring the rest of this music to new ears. Its been tough holding it under the radar for several months, but now that we are actually able to move forward, it feels good :)
