Chiodos has entered the studio to record its fourth album with producer David Bottrill. Press release can be seen in the replies.
Chiodos’ Craig Owens comments, “We’re excited to be working with Dave Bottrill on this new Chiodos record. Some of the records he’s done have influenced the band and helped us define what we’ve become. Muse, Tool, and Silverchair are all at the top of our list, and it’s amazing to be working with someone that’s already been a part of our history, indirectly. So for the next two months, we’ll be hiding out in the woods of upstate NY, in a hollowed out Church turned studio – creating what is to be the next chapter of this crazy Chiodos journey. ”
Chiodos will release their new album in 2014 - watch some Warped footage and hear a song clip in the replies (skip to 2:11 for the clip). Based on their "Two Eleven" Facebook post, it's possible the album will release on February 11.
Matt Goddard of Chiodos took to the Vans Warped Tour twitter to answer some questions yesterday. When asked when we would hear new material he responded, "You'll be hearing some new stuff soon." Which seems to lead to the band releasing a song before they leave for Warped Tour, even if they're recording their new album after the tour. What do you think?
Chiodos posted a live acoustic video of "Baby, You Wouldn't Last A Minute On The Creek" from last week's Warped Tour kickoff party. The band also talked about its upcoming album in an interview. You can find both videos in the replies.
