Make Do And Mend have secretly recorded a new full-length album called Don't Be Long, which will release on February 24 via Rise Records. The title track is streaming, amongst a length interview with the band, on Noisey, and you can also listen to it in the replies.
Palisades have posted "Player Haters' Ball", the first song off their upcoming sophomore full-length, Mind Games. "The song is about an internal battle and feeling like everything is crashing down on you, it's raining down on you, drowning you," says singer Austin Carlile, who calls Feels Like Forever his favorite song on the band's latest album, Restoring Force. "It's a song that we want to empower people to know that everybody goes through storms, everybody goes through trials and tribulations. It's the focus of how to get out of it, how to better yourself from it, how to learn from it so it doesn't happen again. Then, if it does happen again, you know exactly how to handle it."

“We’ve been a band for about 10 years now,” says Becker, as he explains the reasons behind the band name change. “We have a lot of footage of us as youngsters playing pop punk music, which is great but I think our new sound is little more beach pop. When we go on tour, people who’ve never heard of us look us up on the Internet and the first thing they see is us playing pop punk and they don’t really see what we are now.” So change they will. The band will be known as Swimmers after their Soundwave Festival appearances in 2015.
