Last night, Death Grips were tapped to play an officially sanctioned Lollapalooza aftershow at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago. They didn't show up. According to several reports from Reddit and Twitter, after learning that the band wouldn't play, fans proceeded to destroy their equipment, including a drum kit that was presumably Zach Hill's. [...] According to Lollapalooza's representatives, the band "chose not to arrive in Chicago" and will not play the festival.

Modern Life Is War have announced a handful of record release shows in October, along with its appearance at August's This Is Hardcore Fest in Philadelphia. In a plot twist that surprises no one, I have forgotten to post the last two updates to the lineup for Fest 12 (tickets here). Before I start typing a bunch of band names, news today comes in that Fest will be announcing "two reunions, two legends, one [band] who has not played since Fest 3, and more," so we'll have an update again later today as well! Over the past couple weeks, Fest 12 has confirmed performances from ALL, Circle Takes The Square, Titus Andronicus, Fake Problems, Sundowner, United Nations, Hop Along, Adventures, Glocca Morra, Junior Battles, Mikey Erg, PJ Bond (full band) and more.
