Streetlight Manifesto have posted an update announcing Toh Kay's solo album has been "canceled" and pre-orders for their latest album are "delayed."
It’s with a very heavy heart that I have to announce the following:
1) The Toh Kay album “The Hand That Thieves” has been canceled for the foreseeable future. More details will come to light in the coming days.
2) Due to Victory Records refusal to send us copies of our own new album, there will be another delay in our ability to deliver preorders on time. We hoped to find a compromise with them, up until the bitter end; unfortunately, it just wasn’t possible.
We ask you to once more be patient: we’re working around the clock to find a...
Holy crap, we're only two and half weeks from the return of the Skate and Surf Festival, so how about we give away another pair of tickets to the jamboree in New Jersey on May 18th and 19th. To win this pair, tell me your favorite memories from earlier versions of the Skate and Surf fest. Or if you haven't been before, tell me why the return of this festival is so important to the scene? Give it your best shot n the replies and I'll pick my favorite answer tomorrow. Good luck!

By now it should be no surprised to you that we're huge fans of Dikembe around these parts. I first fell in love with the band when I heard its four-song debut, Chicago Bowls, a few years ago; its energized take on anthemic indie/emo/punk with heart-on-sleeve lyricism brought in many fans. So I'm beyond stoked to be premiering the remastered version of the band's fantastic EP - you can stream it in the replies or at the band's AP.net profile. After you hear how much better Chicago Bowls sounds, make sure to pre-order the 7" from Tiny Engineshere.

The Classic Crime have posted a brand new music video for "What I'd Give Up", which you can view in the replies. The video was shot on three iPhone 5's, while the band was on a recent tour stop in Las Vegas, NV. You can purchase the band's current album, Phoenix, here.
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have added guitarist Sadler Vaden in preparation for their upcoming summer tour--dates are in the replies. Isbell releases his second solo album Southeastern on June 11 via Thirty Tigers.
Vocal Few (The Classic Crime's Matt McDonald and his wife, Kristie McDonald) have posted a teaser for their new EP, Tall Trees EP, which will be released on June 21st. Pre-Order options, as well as a free download of single "The Road", can be found here. Head to the replies to check out the teaser.
Detroit's Wilson have signed to Easy Killer Records. The band will release their debut album, Full Blast Fuckery, on July 9th, produced by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Saves the Day, Every Time I Die). Hit the replies for a ridiculous press release and the teaser for their new song, "Viking Pussies Fuck Off."
The downside of it though, is that it sort of marginalizes what you do, because there’s not the credibility of being on a label, or the push that a label gives you to help you breakthrough to press and blogs. So you kind of get lumped in with the unwashed masses of bedroom bands and high school garage bands, which is fine: there’s a lot of amazing music being made these days in bedrooms and by teenagers in garages. But in terms of trying to gain any sort of broad exposure for your band, especially when your band is just a bunch of late-20s/early-30s beardos, not having a label to hang your hat on makes it...
UK emo band Moose Blood have released a new, two-song single, Boston/Orlando, on iTunes via Venn Records (Gallows). I recommend checking it out. To accompany the release, a limited edition shirt is available here.
Run The Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) have announced that they will be touring this summer. You can check out the tour poster with dates in the replies, as well as a new song called "Get It." Metallica's 3D film, Metallica Through the Never, will be playing in IMAX theaters on September 27th, followed by an expanded release on October 4th.
The film marries groundbreaking footage and editing techniques with a compelling narrative, in which a band crew member (played by Dane DeHaan) is sent out on a mission during Metallica's roaring live set in front of a sold-out arena. While on this mission, he unexpectedly has his life turned completely upside down.
