I'm not sure whether I'm getitng old too or not (I am), but imagining watching Circa whilst having a craft beer sounds like heaven.

As someone who likes Oasis but hasn't properly listened to TGA, this isn't good at all.

Seems like a weird 'joke' considering he was previously involved? Like leaving a sandwich shop and saying you bought a sandwich, when you didn't.

Great analogy, right?

Pause.

NAHHHTT.

Respect to FOB. Pro Green is such an unfashionable artist these days, even in the mainstream.

This album is essentially the album most Sufjan fans wanted. It's got all of the elements of what made him so popular. I love it, obviously.

Oh for sure, like I said in the previous post, he basically makes his own shred videos with his awful live performances. I just don't think Matt's delivery suits the songs though.

When I was in the US I picked up a few records that seemed more in-line with what I'd expect to pay, to be fair. Here in the UK it always feels like record shops are sort of 'boutique' and that vinyl...

Seeing RSD releases sitting in my local record store months and months after RSD never sits right with me.

As much as I enjoy the record shop 'experience', my local is far more expensive that...

This, exactly.

All The Small Things with Matt on vocals is just odd. Tom's delivery is so unique that the song is never going to have the same charm with someone else singing it.

Tom basically makes his own shreds videos haha. It it pretty crazy how a headlining festival band can sound so awful.

They haven't announced what their future is; at present Matt is just filling in.

Yeah, sure. I just don't think they were comparable in the first place though..

Yeah, but if you're making comparisons, then they're one of the better bands to compare to. I don't think any of the scene bands you mentioned were relevant..

Okay, Liam and Noel both did lead vocals on different songs, like Blink. They are a very popular band who released a number of albums over a 15 year period. It's probably the best comparison in this...

Probably the best example of a band who've been in a similar situation is Oasis. Would you not find it weird if they carried on without Liam? Noel and Liam both perform Oasis songs in their sets, but...

Fair enough.

I just think it's sad. There's a lot of hate going around for Tom and it's just like people are forgetting all the music that Tom helped create and is an integral part of.

Fuck that haha. What kind of reason is that? A better financial decision? I'm sure they've got a decent amount of money.

They can have fun creating a new band though with a new name. Unless Matt suddenly decides to rip-off Tom then they're going to be different musically. Why carry on under the Blink name?

They don't need to carry on as Blink though, do they? Their sound would change with Matt in the band, and what would be the point in it being Blink, and not doing something else like they did with...

Blink are arguably a band at the end of their career though. It's not really comparable to active bands who are putting out an album every year. Particularly when you think of all the side-projects...

Yeah, it's not comparable. John was always secondary on vocals, and also he only did one album. Not really the same as an entire 20 year discography or whatever.
